System Limitations

The amount of energy stored in the battery is limited by the battery bank capacity, i.e., the size and the number of batteries. Thus, it is possible to drain the batteries of all useful energy. In an AC system, the inverter will shut off automatically in order to protect the batteries from being damaged by over-discharging. In a DC system, a low voltage disconnect (if present in the design) will disconnect the batteries from the load.

The system design specifies the appliances that can be used on the system and how long they can be used each day.

The system must be used as specified!

Overloading the system can cause damage to the inverter, reduce the life span of the batteries, and create risk of fire.
Solar Light Company will not be held responsible for any damage caused under these circumstances.
